Personality
WindAngel, in any of her three forms, is particularly indifferent and comes off as emotion-less to just about everyone. She is very closed most of the time, only putting forward a mysterious facet that scares most people off. Given the chance, she can be very kind and open to people, although her untrusting nature doesn’t allow this with just about anyone but the other Elemental Angels. Despite all this, she’s more of a motherly figure to the Elemental Angels, often serving as a source of comfort for them. EarthAngel and WaterAngel tend to get on her nerves, and she is closest to FireAngel. Out of all of the Angels, she is the wisest and disputidly the oldest, although Zues’ avatar is the only avatar out-ranking her in age.

As WindAngel, she’s more stubborn and tends to try and take charge when she feels that FireAngel isn’t getting the job done. She’s downright condescending and rude to the other Angels and will go off by herself. She’s very solitary in battle and doesn’t like to work with others unless she has to. She never expresses any need or want for help and prefers to get things done without any outside help, even if she can’t do it.

As Melai, she was very very duty-bound, but at the same time she was very motherly to the incoming new avatars from the ones who had fallen in the wars with the Titans. Before everything that happened with Apollo, she was quite warm, but after they had been banished from ever seeing each other, her attitude changed and from then on she became very cold, formidable, and closed-off to the rest of Olympus.

Build: She is particularly lanky, but tends to tower over people, giving the impression that she is taller then she actually is. She is the weakest physically of the Angels.

Henshin Phrase: “Power of Ouranos… Revive Me!”- She throws her OuranosWind Brooch in frount of her, where it spins in place, and says the phrase. An opaque whirlwind blows towards her and covers her entirely, hiding her from view. A giant pair of jade green wings appears and then snaps shut, causing all the wind to disappear. The wings cover her entirely then snap open and disappear, revealing a fully transformed WindAngel.
Attacks/Powers:
“Ouranos Boomerang Tornado!”- She throws her boomerang towards the target and says the phrase. Instead of the boomerang flying regularly and slicing the enemy in half, it turns into a tornado and sucks the enemy up inside it. If the enemy doesn’t die from the boomerang hidden in the middle of the tornado, it will surely die from the fall.
“Ouranos Boomerang… Multiply!”- She throws her boomerang and says “Ouranos Boomerang”. When it gets to a certain point, she points her hand towards it, palm facing outward, and says “Multiply!” The boomerang then separates into ten different boomerangs that she can direct towards one or several targets at once, usually slicing them to pieces.
“Power of Ouranos… Strengthen Me!”- She holds her boomerang at either end, the curve facing towards the sky. She chants in Greek, then says the phrase, and a tornado comes crashing into her. The West Wind comes and passes through the tornado, causing it to freeze with cold. Light copper cracks appear in the ice, then the cocoon bursts apart, revealing Celestial Sailor WindAngel.
Call upon Ouranos- She is generally forbidden to do this unless it is absolutely needed. She can call upon Ouranos for assistance at will.

Mission: To first stop Sailor Hecate from destroying all of the future, prophesized avatars (by taking their Power Scroll from them), then to diminish her powers to the point that Selene can seal her into the moon again.

How she became a senshi: Melai was born a senshi on Olympus like the other Greek avatars. After she and the other Angels sealed Hecate inside the moon the first time, Hephestus forged her Ouranos Boomerang at Ouranos’ request. It is infused with the power of the four winds (North, South, East and West) and of Ouranos himself.

History
Past
Melai was “born” on Olympus, with every other avatar, at Ouranos’ request. She is forever bound to do her duty and protect the Earth and it’s inhabitants, although any order from Ouranos comes first.

Melai never really had a problem with her existence, unlike a few of the avatars who thought that it would be better to be human, or one of the gods even. She was often a mentor to new avatars, replacing those who had been killed in the great Titan wars, being a trainer and parental figure to them. However, she almost never went down to earth, often staying on Olympus to train the avatars, and only went down to earth to receive a new list of future avatars from the Prophet at Delphi, in Greece. Otherwise, she had no contact with any humans whatsoever.

During this time she developed feelings for Apollo, god of the sun, who eventually returned them. They kept their love secret but were found out when Artiemis, goddess of the hunt, overheard them and reported it to Zeus. In his anger, Zeus banned them from ever seeing each other again. In her grief, Melai sealed herself inside the Earth after the battle with Hecate (which had come right after the sentence), and Apollo sealed himself inside his chambers, leaving the Earth in darkness until Zeus ordered him out to drive the chariot.

Present
Melai and the other Angels awoke in Japan when Hecate awoke, due to Zeus moving them to where she first set foot on the earth. Even with just their four powers there, she could not leave the land mass, therefore she is stuck there as long as all four Angels are together on the same land mass.

In modern day, Melai disguises herself as Hime Kazeno, a student and Juuban High School. Although she looks like she’s just another schoolgirl, she also seems too old to be there, which her attitude and height do not help with. To others, she seems closed-off and cold, although she shows incredible wisdom beyond her apparent years. For this soul reason, people are not afraid of her.

The only other person she has even a touch of contact with other then the Elemental Angels is Meioh Setsuna (Sailor Pluto), who is a nurse at Juuban at the time the Angels start going there. Tomoe Hotaru, Tsukino Usagi (Chibi-Usa), PallaPalla, JunJun, VesVes, and CereCere all attend Juuban as well.
