Personality
Chiba is the most laid-back of the Angels, acting as though she wasn’t an Angel at all most of the time. She’s eager to show off to anyone, and is usually swelling with pride. She has a very short temper, often blowing up at people when they insult her or injure her pride. In Japan, she disguises herself as Shinmamoru Chiba, but when she returns to Greece she assumes her real name: Terra (Latin for Earth).

As Sailor EarthAngel, she is much more level-headed, calm, but is reckless and will attack any enemy, even if they are too strong for her. In the fight against Hecate, she is the one that is the biggest thorn in Hecate’s side, since she’s constantly trying to attack her one way or another, and it breaks Hecate’s concentration. While she is very physically strong for her size, out of the Angels, she has the weakest attacks, only in that she’s too sparratic with them and wears herself out before she can really do too much damage.

As Terra she’s very duty-bound, but doesn’t quit being a loudmouth (which gets her in the most trouble, often times). Often times, on Olympus, Melai (Sailor WindAngel) has to remind her to hold her tongue. Gaea is fond of her, but because of Terra’s loudmouth, childish sort of nature, she ends up being more “motherly-critical” to the avatar.

Eyes: Gold
Hair: Light brown. It has bronze tips and is particularly short.

Build: She is strong and looks it, although her height makes her seem younger. She is the strongest physically of the Elemental Angels.
Attitude: Happy-go-lucky, full of pride
Special Markings: Pi tattoo on the back of her neck.

Henshin Phrase: “Power of Gaea… Revive Me!”- She throws her GaeaEarth Brooch in frount of her, where it spins in place, and says the phrase. Soil and plants creep up her body to cover her completely, and then a pair of giant bronze wings appears and snap shut, causing all the earth to go flying in every direction. She spins around once, the wings covering her completely. The wings then open and disappear, showing a fully transformed EarthAngel.

Attacks/Powers:
“Gaea Hammer Strike!”- She raises her hammer above her head and says “Gaea Hammer”. She swings her hammer around and then brings it crashing into the ground, saying “Strike!” A giant crack opens in the ground, heading straight for the enemy, and then swallows the enemy whole and closes.
“Gaea Vines Entangle!”- She brings her hammer out in frount of her, holding it so that the top points away from her. She closes her eyes and says “Gaea Vines”, then swings her hammer so that it is above her head. She brings her hammer down to the ground, saying “Entangle!” A giant crack opens in the ground again and hundreds of vines reach out for the enemy, and then crush it to dust.
“Power of Gaea… Strengthen Me!”- She holds her hammer out in frount of her, her right hand on the handle and the left at the bottom, the point of the hammer on her palm. She chants in Greek and then says the phrase. Four vines made of earth unravel then slam into her, and then a crack in the ground opens and magma covers her completely, hardening. Thin, light green cracks appear in the cocoon then the entire thing bursts apart, revealing Celestial Sailor EarthAngel.
Call upon Gaea- She is generally forbidden to do this unless it is absolutely needed. She can call upon Gaea for assistance at will.

Mission: To first stop Sailor Hecate from destroying all of the future, prophesized avatars (by taking their Power Scroll from them), then to diminish her powers to the point that Selene can seal her into the moon again.

How she became a senshi: She was born a senshi like the other Angels on Olympus. After having sealed Hecate inside the moon the first time with the other Elemental Angels, Hespetsut forged her hammer at Gaea’s request. It is infused with the power of the Earth and Gaea as well.

Like the other avatars, she is also virtually immortal. She can only die by the blade of a mortal weapon (spear, sword, bow and arrow, etc) in battle. Unless she dies in battle by the hands of mortal or immortal alike, she will continue to live and be in service of her diety.

History
Past
Like the rest of the Elemental Angels, she was "born" on Olympus at Gaea's request, to be her avatar. Her duty, ultimatly, is to protect Earth and it's inhabitants, but any order from Gaea comes first.

Terra always came off as rebellious to new avatars that had been "born" (ie, their Power Scrolls had been accessed and read by their respective god/goddess, so they then became a new avatar), but that isn't the case. While she was at least a little rebellious, she was ever loyal and true to her goddess, along with fulfilling any other orders that the higher-up gods (such as Ouranous, Chronos, Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades) had, but otherwise she went about her own business. She preferred to stay on Earth as often as she could, as she found that Olympus was lonely for her, since none of the other avatars seemed to share her same optimistic attitude most of the time.

After the original battle with Hecate, which ended in her once again being sealed into the dark side of the moon to be guarded by Selene and her avatars (extra had been granted for the purpose of guarding Hecate), Terra was too weak to continue going about her duties in a proficient manner. Gaea, sensing that she was weak and needed to rest, granted her permission to seal herself inside the Earth to heal. Terra did so, but when Gaea tried to raise her, she coudln't do so and asked Zeus to do something. He told the goddess that because of the time of her sealing herself, and the fact that Hecate had caused her the damage, she was now tied to the fallen goddess. Gaea grieved for her lost "daughter" (as she sometimes called Terra), and waited for any relase of Hecate to come.

Present
2500 years later, along with the other Angels, Terra awoke as Hecate managed to escape and seal Selene in her place. Because the protectors of the planet had taken the form of "Sailor Senshi", the Angels and herself also took the same form, but retained their avatar forms.

She now goes to Juuban High school with the other Angels, along with now teenage ChibiUsa, Hotaru, and the healed Amazon Quartet.
