Prolouge

Through the ages of old, the gods and goddesses had ruled in peace, keeping watch over the earth and it’s people. Zeus, the king of the gods, ruled from Olympus and controlled the storms. His brothers, Hades and Poseidon, looked towards the sea and underworld, where the dead dwelled and where the waters raged.

They ruled in peace for many millennia, until the evil goddess of night, Nyx, had awoken. She flew down to the earth and cast it into eternal darkness, the moon forever black. Selene could do nothing, for with the release of Nyx she was sealed inside the moon, powerless and cold. Nyx was now called a demon, sending souls to Hades as she pleased, keeping some to do her bidding or others to face eternal torment. She called upon the giants and titans to rise up against their godly brethren, and waged war with the most powerful of gods.

The avatars, now awoken from their human forms, were called upon by their respective deities. Nyx sought out her own avatar, only to find her killed and amoung the souls in Hades. Angered beyond all recognition, she barged straight into the underworld and absorbed her avatar’s soul and powers, gaining the power to transform into a human and gaining the Nyx Sickle. With her newfound powers, she stole Apollo’s chariot and threatened to destroy the earth.

Only four avatars: Eriyn, avatar of Ares, Terra, avatar of Gaea, Nerei, avatar of Poseidon, and Melai, avatar of Ouranos survived, taking refuge in the earth where Gaea protected them. Once awoken, they arose and called upon their deities, who gave them the power to seal Nyx once again. The avatars forced Nyx to be sealed inside the moon and freed Selene, hence freeing the earth from Nyx’s grasp.

As an award, each avatar was given a weapon, forged by Hespetsut, from their respective deities. These were infused with the power of their elements and of their deities, and they were also given permission to stay awake on the earth to protect its people.

They did so, but only for a short time. Melai was discovered to be in love with Apollo, god of the sun, and was forbidden to have any contact from him from that point on. Out of sadness, Melia sealed herself inside the earth until Nyx was either awoken once again or the earth was destroyed.

The other three avatars were each sealed inside the earth accordingly, for different reasons, only to awaken when Zeus called upon them, or when great danger threatened them all. For millennia they slept, their mystical weapons lying at their sides, never being called upon any of the deities.

But one of the avatars that remained on earth betrayed the deities and awoke Nyx once again. She became Nyx’s avatar, and together they started taking the sacred scrolls from the future, prophesied avatars, killing them. Eryin, Terra, Melai, and Nerei were called upon once more to become the Elemental Angels and fight Nyx. Her avatar was killed with their awakening, and Nyx now seeks revenge for her avatar, as well as trying to prevent her eternal sleep inside the moon once more…
